طرقَها تمْزحينَ اللمْزَ بالعَذلِ

لتسْلِبي من يدي إشراقةَ الأملِ

And you plant the seeds of despair harshly in my liver

To steal from my hands the dawn of hope

وتصبُغين مقالاتي بسُخريةٍ

وتنسبين إليها وصمةَ الفَشَلِ

And you dye my words with sarcasm

And attribute to them the stigma of failure

فأنتِ في عالَمِ التَّزييف بارعةٌ

تُغَلِّفينَ جراحَ الذَّمِّ بالقُبَلِ

You are skilled in the world of falsification
