من تُرى أبحرَ فيها قبْلَ أن

يُعْلنَ الربَّانُ ميعادَ الرحيل؟

Who will sail in her before

The captain declares the time of departure?

عاشقو الوهم أحَبَُوا قِصَصاً

قرؤوها في سجلِّ المستحيل

Lovers of illusion loved tales

They read in the register of the impossible

صنعوا قاطرةً من ورقٍ

أينما مالتْ بها الريحُ تميل

They made a locomotive of paper
