1. O God, O God, O Succorer, O Eternal Refuge,

    O You who are exalted above having a father or child,

  2. O Dispeller of sorrow, Remover of afflictions—O

    my Lord, my army, my sanctuary, my refuge, my support.

  3. However great my need for necessities, You know it,

    without a sign from mouths, nor one made by hand.

  4. So never, under any circumstance, make me need anyone;

    instead, be my guardian, my trustee, my helper, my sustaining aid.

  5. How sorely today do those like me need One like You—O

    You who have no equal—far be it from You—in any land.
