مني إليك كتابٌ كله عتبُ

‏لكنني رغم أوجاعي سأقتضب

From me to you is a letter filled with blame

But despite my pain I will be concise

‏جرحي عميق وقلبي سوف أنكره

‏إن كان حمقاً لهذا الهجر ينتحبُ

My wound is deep and my heart I will deny
