1. So they did not return until they had witnessed Muhammad's

    Deeds that dispel the grief of every heart.

  2. And until they saw the religious scholars of every city

    Prostrate before him, in groups and singly:

  3. Dharir and Tamam—and present as a witness was

    Daris; and all of them intended harm.

  4. Then Bahira spoke to them, and they were convinced

    By him, after denial and long estrangement.

  5. Just as he spoke to the band who had embraced Judaism

    And strove against them for God's sake, striving to the utmost.

  6. Then he said—sincere counsel left him no turning back—

    For an ambush awaits him at every hunting ground.

  7. For I fear the envious, and indeed he

    Is recorded in the books, in ink of every kind.
