O Lord, You are my trust and my treasure in reserve,
For little children, like the tiniest ants.
The cold has overtaken them, though they are human,
Without blankets and without waist-wraps.
As though they were beetles in a burrow—
You see them after the afternoon prayer,
Every one of them pressed against my chest.
So hear my prayer, and see to my recompense.
