زعموا يا خُلُوفُ أنكَ خلفٌ

صدقوا فيكَ من خُلوفٍ ألُوفُ

They claimed, O faithless one, that you are faithless,

They were right about you, among thousands of faithless ones.

ولهذا دعوكَ بالجمعِ فرداً

جمعُ خلفٍ بلا خِلافٍ خُلُوفُ

And so they called you, in the plural, singular,

A group of faithless ones, undoubtedly faithless.
