يا جور هذا الدهر من ظالم
لا يعرف الانصافَ في الحكمِ
O injustice of this age, so oppressive
Knowing not fairness when judging men
فما اكتفى بالظلم حتى بدا
يُلزمنا الشكرَ على الظلم
Nor content with just tyranny itself
It demands we give thanks for our plight
