    And it was as though they were mere hours.

  2. And wine has mercy on every rising care,

    With stars whose spheres are the palms of hands.

  3. I set the cupbearer opposite the sky, and it raised

    A full moon over me, as though it were a mirror.

  4. The down on his cheek is al-Khiḍr, and his mouth's bright gleam

    Is the Fountain of Life, and his temple-lock is darkness.
