1. من أين ابتديء الحديث عن الوطن

    ولمن أصوغ حكاية الذكرى لمن

    From where do I begin talking about the homeland

    And for whom do I compose the story of remembrance, for whom

  2. من اين ,و الامجاد تشرق في دمي

    نورا من الذكرى و تختصر الزمن

    From where, and the glories shine in my blood

    A light from memories that shortens time

  3. من أين, و الإيمان يجري نهره

    عذبا و يغسل عن مشاعرنا الدرن

    From where, and faith flows its sweet river

    Washing away the sadness within us

  4. من أين ابتديء الحديث و ليلتي

    تأبى على عيني مقاربة الوسن

    From where do I begin talking while my night

    Refuses my eyes from approaching drowsiness

  5. من أين,و الاشواق تحلف انها

    ستظل تسقيني التذكر و الشجن

    From where, while yearnings swear they

    Will keep watering me with remembering and sadness

  6. من أين و الزمن السريع يمر بي

    وجبينه بدم الرحيل قد احتقن

    From where while time quickly passes me

    With its forehead bleeding with farewell

  7. فمن اللفافة حين نولد بدؤنا

    في رحلة العمر القصير إلى الكفن

    So from the beginning when we were born we started

    On life's short journey to the shroud

  8. قالوا ابتدئ من وصف مكة إنها

    صدر حوى نور الهداية واطمئن

    They said begin with describing Mecca, it

    Contains the light of guidance and reassurance

  9. ابدأ من البيت العتيق فإنه

    سكن لمن لم يلق في الدنيا سكن

    Start with the Ancient House for it is

    A dwelling for those who found no dwelling in this life

  10. وارحل بشعرك بعد هذا ناشرا

    نور الهداية بين سرك و العلن

    And go on with your poetry spreading

    The light of guidance between your secret and the open

  11. فأجبتهم :شكرا سأبدأ من هنا

    من أرضنا المعطاء من هذا الوطن

    So I answered them: Thank you I will start from here

    From our fertile land from this homeland

  12. من كعبة رفع الإله مقامها

    وحمى حماها من طواغيت الفتن

    From the sanctuary God raised its structure

    And protected its protection from the mischief of tribulations

  13. أنا سوف أبدأ من مطاف نبيها

    أتلو كتاب الله اتبع السنن

    I will start from the station of its Prophet

    Reciting God's book following the Sunnah

  14. أنا سوف أبدأ من مقام خليلها

    من حجر اسماعيل من ركن اليمن

    I will start from the station of His friend

    From the stone of Ismail from the corner of Yemen

  15. قالت: تراك بلغت نجدا و الحمى

    قلت أبشري إنا تجاوزنا (حضن)

    She said: You have reached Najd and the sanctuary

    I said rejoice we have surpassed the embrace

  16. أوما وجدت من الخزامى نشرها

    أوما رأيت ملاحة الظبي الأغن

    Or did you not find any pleasure in its sights

    Or see the beauty of its graceful deer

  17. أوما رأيت بيارق المجد التي

    خفقت فحررت النفوس من الوهن

    Or see the flags of glory that

    Fluttered freeing souls from weakness

  18. مالي أراك تلمظين مشاعري

    أنسيت أن القلب عندك مرتهن

    Why do I see you reducing my feelings

    Forgetting that my heart is hostage to you

  19. هذي بلادك صانها الرحمن من

    شرك ومن سوء التذلل للوثن

    This is your country, God protected it from

    Polytheism and the disgrace of idolatry

  20. هشت إليك جبال مكتها فما

    ذل العزيز ولا تطامنت القنن

    Its solid mountains bowed to it so the mighty

    Did not humiliate nor did the forts surrender

  21. وشدت (مدينتها )بلحن وفائها

    للمصطفى و لكل من فيها قطن

    And its city held on to the melody of its loyalty

    To the Chosen One and all those who settled in it

  22. و تألقت فوق الرمال رياضها

    في كفها من عزم فارسها مجن

    And its gardens shone over the sands

    In its palm determination of its valiant knight

  23. ورنت إليك (تبوكها) و (عسيرها)

    و (الباحة) الخضراء صيبها هتن

    And its Tubuk and Asir and

    The green Bahah sung to you infatuated

  24. وشدت (لحائلها) بلابل انسها

    فاهتز روض الحب و انتفض الفنن

    And its Lail held on to the nightingales of its splendor

    So the garden of love shook and talents rose high

  25. وتلفعت احساؤها بنخيلها

    حسناء تروي الشعر عن قيس و عن

    And its Ahsa flared up with its palm trees

    A beauty quenching poetry about Qais and Oun

  26. و أرتك جازان الأراك و حافظا

    يتلو معارجه و يتقن كل فن

    And I presented you Jazan the bride and Hafr Al-Batin

    Reciting its steps and master of every art

  27. هذي بلادك قلبها متفتح

    فهي التي لا تشتكي ضيق العطن

    This is your country its heart is open

    So it is the one who does not complain of narrowness of chest

  28. إني لأرسم وردة فواحة

    منها و اغرسها على شفة الزمن

    I draw a scented rose

    From it and plant it on the lip of time

  29. و أصوغ شعرا لو تمثل لفظه

    رجلا لقال انا المحب المفتتن

    And compose poetry that if its words took form

    It would say I am the loving fascinated one

  30. ولظل يرفع صوته متمثلا

    بالحكمة الغراء و القول الحسن

    And it would keep raising its voice impersonating

    Wisdom and good words

  31. هذي بلادك دينها متأصل

    في قلبها و المجد فيها مختزن

    This is your country its religion deeply rooted

    In its heart and glory stored in it

  32. في أرضها المعطاء يحتضن الهدى

    إن المبادئ كالبراعم تحتضن

    In its good land guidance resides

    For principles are like buds they nestle

  33. هي مهبط القرآن تحت لوائه

    سارت بعون الله تجتاز المحن

    It is the landing place of Quran under its banner

    It marched with God's help crossing tribulations

  34. نشأت على هدي الإله فروحها

    تسمو بها و بروحها يسمو البدن

    It was raised on the guidance of God so its spirit

    Rises with it and with its spirit the body rises high

  35. رسم الإمامان الطريق فعلمها

    يمحو الضلال ,و سيفها يمحو الفتن

    The two Imams paved the way so its knowledge

    Obliterates misguidance, and its sword obliterates strife

  36. ومضى بها صقر الإباء فلمها

    بعد الشتات و لم منها ما شطن

    And the falcon of glory carried it so it gathered

    What discord had scattered from it

  37. وسمى بها الإسلام عن بدع الهوى

    والشرك و القول الرخيص الممتهن

    And clarified it from the heresy of passions

    And polytheism and feeble compromised words

  38. فيها الأصالة نخلة ممشوقة

    لم يحتقرها الناظرون ولم تهن

    In it is authenticity a lofty palm tree

    That observers did not belittle and did not weaken

  39. فغذاؤها التمر المبارك طلعه

    وشرابها من ماء زمزم و اللبن

    So its blessed fruit is its nourishment

    And its drink from the water of Zamzam and milk
