قرِّبْ خُطاكَ فإنَّني مُشْتاقُ

عندي الحنينُ وعندكَ الإشفاقُ

Bring your steps closer, for I long

أتُراكَ لم تعلمْ بحالي ، بعدم

عصفتْ براحة قلبيَ الأشواقُ ؟

Do you not know of my state, after

Yearning has tossed the peace of my heart?

قرِّب إليَّ الماءَ ، إنِّي لظاميءٌ

و لديكَ أنتَ الماءُ و الترياقُ

Bring me water, for I am thirsty

And you have the water and the remedy

مهما تطاولَ عنكَ ليلُ صبابتي

فأنا إلى فجر المُنى توَّاقُ

No matter how long the night of my youth extends

I am anticipating the dawn of fulfillment

ما دام لي حُلُمُ اللِّقاءِ فإنَّني

أحيا بهِ ، مهما يطولُ فِراقُ

As long as I have the dream of meeting, I
