بك اللهم أصبحنا يقينً

وإيمانًا بفضلك يحتوينا

By You, O Allah, we entered upon the morning

With faith and belief in Your favor to encompass us

بك اللهم أصبحنا قلوبً

تتوق لربها دنيا ودينا

By You, O Allah, we entered upon hearts

That yearn for their Lord in life and in religion

بك اللهم أصبحنا ,غسلن

بذكرك كل هم يعترينا

By You, O Allah, we entered as we washed away

Every worry that afflicts us with Your remembrance

غرسنا يومنا بالذكر غرسً

فما أحلى ثمار الغارسينا

We planted our day with the remembrance like a planting

So what could be sweeter than the fruits for us planters

جنينا التمر والرمان منه

ونلنا خيرها عنبا وتينا

We reaped dates and pomegranates from it

And attained the best of grapes and figs from it

بك اللهم أصبحنا نفوسً

وأفئدةً تحب الصالحينا

By You, O Allah, we entered upon souls

And hearts that love the righteous

وجدنا راحةً في النفس لمَّ

تلقينا الصباح مكبرينا

We found comfort in the self when

We greeted the morning glorifying

ذكرنا الله فابتسمت زهورٌ

وأرسلت الشذى بوحًا دفينا

We remembered Allah so flowers smiled

And sent hidden fragrances wafting

ورددت البلابلُ ذكر ربي

على أغصان دوحتنا لحونا

And bulbuls repeated the remembrance of my Lord

With melodies on the branches of our orchard

رأينا الطير حين غدت خماصً

وراحت بعدما ملئت بطونا

We saw the birds become silent after

They had their fill and their bellies were full

رأينا الأفق مبتسمًا بشوشً

ضحوك الثغر حين بدى رضينا

We saw the horizon smiling radiantly

With the bright smile when it appeared to please us

رأينا الشمس تنسجُ للروابي

خيوط شعاعها تاجًا ثمينا

We saw the sun weaving for the meadows

Strands of its rays like a precious crown

بك اللهم أصبحنا ,وقفن

أما جلال وجهك خاضعينا

By You, O Allah, we entered and stood

Humbled before the majesty of Your countenance

شربنا من معين الذكر حتى

شعرنا بالرضا لما رَوينا

We drank from the spring of remembrance until

We felt pleased by what quenched us

وعانقنا الفضاء الرحب لمَّ

سجدنا للمهيمن خاشعينا

And we embraced the vast open space when

We prostrated to the All-Mighty humbly

بك اللهم أصبحنا ,لقين

من الأمل المغردِ ما لقينا

By You, O Allah, we entered and found

The warbling hope that we came across

نُؤمل فيك آمالا عِظامً

نعلق فيك قلبًا مستكينا

We hope in You for great hopes

We attach to You a humble heart

بك اللهم أصبحنا فعشن

يقينًا مشرقًا يجلو الظنونا

By You, O Allah, we entered and lived

A radiant certainty that dispels suspicions

وأطربنا المؤذن حين نادى

نداءً يسكبُ الإيمان فينا

And the muezzin delighted us when he called

A call that pours faith into us

أرحنا يا بلالُ بها أرحن

فديتك يا ختام المرسلينا

Give us comfort Bilal, may I ransom you

O seal of the Messengers

بمنهجك الكريمِ قد اقتدين

و أركضنا العزائمَ مقبلينا

We took guidance from your noble path

And strode with determination to fulfill

طلبنا الراحة الكبرى ففاضت

علينا راكعين وساجدينا

We sought the greatest comfort so it overflowed

Upon us bowing down and prostrating

بك اللهم أصبحنا قلوبً

ترى في ربها الركن الركينا

By You, O Allah, we entered upon hearts

That see their Lord as the firm pillar

رفعنا بالسجود لنا مَقامً

رفيعًا مشرقُ المعنى مكينا

We were elevated through prostration to a

Lofty station of radiant significance and strength

وأرفع ما يكونُ الناس قدرً

إذا وضعوا الجباه مسبحينا

And the greatest elevation a people may have

Is when they place their brows down in praise

بك اللهم أصبحنا ستبقى

كتغريد البلابل ما حيينا

By You, O Allah, we entered, and will remain

Like the warbling of bulbuls wherever we live
