How did you roll the rocks of despair

Until my path was blocked

كيف ترضين ضيـاع العمر

مــن ســربٍ لســرب ؟

How can you be content with the loss of life

From one flock to another?

كيف تنأين , ومافـي النَّأي

إلا كـــلّ كــــرب ؟

How can you distance yourself, when in distance

Is nothing but sorrow?

هوِّني عصفورتي ماعاد

ذو يـــأسٍ بكسب

Comfort me, my little bird, I no longer

Have hope of gain

يرحل المرتاب في دنيــاه

مـن خــطب لخــطب

The anxious one travels his world

From worry to worry

فاملئي الدنـيــا بشدوٍ

وأميـــتي كـــلَّ رعـب

So fill my world with song

And slay all fear

أينـما طــرتِ ستـلقـيني

..فـإن العــشَّ قــلبي

Wherever you fly you will find me

For my heart is your nest
