قد ذقتُ طعمَ المستحيلْ

بحلاوة الصبر الجميلْ

I have tasted the flavor of the impossible

With the sweetness of beautiful patience

ما ذاقهُ إلا الذي

يشكو لمولاه الجليلْ

That only those who

Complain to the Almighty experience

مَن ذاقه عرف الهَنا

والشاكرونَ همُ القليلْ

Whoever tastes it knows bliss

Though the grateful are few
