عادت الروحُ يا عمان فعودي
مثلما كنتِ بسمةً للوجودِ
Oh Oman, the soul has returned, so return
Like you were once a smile for existence
وانثري السعد والهنا قُبُلاتٍ
وانشري الطيب في ابتسام الورود
Scatter happiness and kisses of bliss
And spread goodness in the smile of roses
فلقد عاد سيد الدار نوراً
مشرقاً بالهنا ونجم السعود
The master of the house has returned as light
Shining with joy and the star of Saud
عاد قابوس عودة الغيث يُحيي
ذابل الروح والجنى والعود
Qaboos has returned like rain reviving
The withered soul, harvest, and wood
عاد كالشمس بعد ليلٍ طويلٍ
عشتِهِ في ترقُبٍ وكُمود
He returned like the sun after a long night
You awaited him in yearning and stillness
عاد كالبحر بعد جَزرٍ بعيدٍ
يا لَمَدٍّ له بعوْدٍ سعيد
He returned like the sea after distant low tide
Oh, the surge of happiness in his blessed return
عودة اليوم مولدٌ من جديدٍ
لحياة العُلا بعمرٍ مديد
Today’s return is a new birth
For the life of sublimity with extended age
فاهنأي يا عمان فالخوف ولّى
بعد إشراق فجرك المشهود
Rejoice O Oman, fear has gone
After the dawn of your witnessed morning shone
وارفعي راية الولا وأعيدي
في تهانيكِ بيعةَ التجديد
Raise the flag of allegiance and renew
Your congratulations with pledged renewal
فغداً مثلما الامس أرست
حاضر اليوم ترتقي بالمَشيد
Tomorrow like yesterday you have laid
The present foundation to ascend with the monument
وتسير الحياة خلف خطى قا
بوس في حكمة وفي تسديد
Life goes on following Qaboos' steps
In wisdom and guidance precise
فاسلكوا خلفه رسومَ خُطاهُ
نحو مستقبلٍ عظيمٍ مجيد
Follow his path, customs of his steps
To a great and glorious future
واحفظوا نهجه الوسيط قويماً
يا لنهجٍ موفّقٍ ورشيد
And keep his balanced, right method
Oh, what an accomplished and guided way
بين عزمٍ على المَضاء وحزمٍ
وسخاءٍ في حِلمه المحمود
Between determination to advance and judicious composure
And generosity in his lauded clemency
تحت ظلٍ من الشريعة وافٍ
يسع العصر في بنود الحدود
Under the shade of an inclusive Sharia
That encompasses the age within codified bounds
فاسألوا الله حُلّةً من شفاءٍ
وعوافٍ في ضافيات البُرود
Ask God for a healing solution
And well-being in the warmth of affection
واختموا بالصلاة مِسك ختامٍ
وسلامٍ على النبيّ العميد
And conclude with prayer the seal of musk
And peace upon the noble prophet
