  5. لمّيل يلهو بي كما

    يهوى التجنّي و التعدّي

    The flirt plays and exceeds

  6. كأنّني في كفّه

    عرض الكريم بكفّ وغد

    As if I were in its palm

    A generous prey in a grip and tomorrow

  7. ليل لي قلب يحنّ

    إلى العلا بأحرّ وجد

    A night I have a heart that yearns

    To the heights with burning passion

  8. ى العلا و يردّني

    عجزي و إن العجز مردّي

    To the heights, but my incapacity returns me

    And incapacity is what holds me back

  9. اليأس يسلبني عن الـ

    ـعليا و لا الآمال تجدي

    Despair robs me of

    The heights, and hopes are of no use

  10. و بين مآربي

    أقصى النوى و أشقّ بعد

    And between my goals

    The farthest hopes and most arduous distances

  11. فات مجدي إنّما

    في ذمّة الأيّام مجدي

    My glory has passed, but

    My glory is owed to the days

  12. غدا – و ما أدنى غدا

    منّي – سأوفي المجد وعدي

    Tomorrow - how paltry is tomorrow

    To me - I will fulfill the promise of glory

  13. لقّن التاريخ آيا

    تي و يروي الخلد خلدي

    History has recorded my signs

    And eternity conveys my eternity

  14. نشيد منّي أمّة

    تهدي إلى العليا و تهدي

    An anthem from me a nation

    That guides to the heights and guides

  15. على عهد العلا

    فلتذكر العليا عهدي

    To the covenant of the heights

    So let it remember my covenant of the heights
