The festival comes every year with sorrow

And happiness is tearful, and life degraded

And unbelief screams in the whole wilderness:

I will destroy the nation of Ahmad and dishonor it

And dishonor has cried with the burden of a people who were content

With injustice - when will their honor wake up?

It has cried out among my people: Enough of your mercy!

Are you not weary of your humiliation, so I make clear?

Are you fish in a sea that lives

In constant disgrace – is its life secured?

When you tasted its cup intoxicated

You grew addicted, so it remains in your hearts

It has corrupted your hearts and destroyed your honor

Your manliness has died – how disgraceful is dishonor!

If a freeman rose among you, he becomes prey

For killing or expulsion – and how evil is imprisonment!

Is this your reward for the full moon in the night’s darkness?!

How wretched the people whose lion is deceived!

And the festival comes every year with sorrow

Until death is wished rather than life

I used to dress the living with joy

And happiness – the face of life I adorn

In honor I spend festivals in pleasures of the world

They and gray hair go together

In this time of disgrace, your dishonor has become your clothing

Dying the hearts with blood, dripping

So you clothed me in your disgrace and misery

As if I am the time of humiliation, grieving

Can a people rejoice when their rulers are tyrants

And all prostrate while the defiant are imprisoned?!

Can a people rejoice when their enemies rule

Their masters while they kneel down degraded?!

Can a people rejoice whose blood fills oceans

While dust is cheap and a drop has no value?!

But when the defiant rise up for you to know

That I will return giving good news, so I help

And when you kill your dishonor, you will find me

With you in spirit – no separation comes

So when I come, I clothed you in honor

And clothed you in joy – and excellent is that time

And when the tyrants of the world are sacrifices

My life will return to youth and faith

    Will that time return? Perhaps

Dreams prove true and disgrace becomes clear
