1. يومٌ يظلُّ بسِفرِ الدَّهر عنوانا

    تخطُّه بدماءِ القدس قتلانا

    A day that remains a title in the book of time

    Inscribed by the blood of Jerusalem's martyrs

  2. يومٌ عبوسٌ كأن الموتَ ألبسَهُ

    ثوبَ التتار وأصلاهُ مُصلانا

    A sullen day, as if death had clothed it

    In the Tatar's garb and made it a crucifix

  3. يومٌ مضى، مُضرِماً منَّا الكبود فلا

    نسطيعُ دفعاً له، أو عنه سُلوانا

    A day gone by, kindling in us sorrows, yet we cannot

    Repel it or seek solace from it

  4. وكيف نسلوا وملءُ العين منظره

    طفلٌ توشَّح صبح اليوم أكفانا

    How can we find solace when scenes of it

    Fill our eyes? A child donned the shroud of dawn today

  5. ياصورةً بثَّها التلفازُ مفجعةً

    تُثيرُ في خلد المحزون أشجانا

    An image broadcast by television, so distressing

    It stirs sorrow in the heart of the grieved

  6. لوأنَّ صُمَّ جبالِ الطُّور تُبصِرُهُ

    لانت ْ ولكنَّ قلبَ الوغدِ مالانا

    If the deaf mountains of Al-Tur could see him

    They would moan, but the villain's heart is warped

  7. أبٌ جريحٌ .. وطفلٌ خائفٌ .. وردىً

    يُزخُّ من ثَكنَات الحقد نيرانا

    A wounded father...a frightened child...and a hail

    Of hatred spewing from the dens of malice

  8. لايستطيعان دفعْاً .. والرصاصُ إذا

    راما الهروبَ ترامى فوق ما كانا

    They cannot resist...and when the bullets

    Take aim, they rain upon where the two once stood

  9. والوالدُ القلِقُ المسكينُ يسألُهُم

    عطفاً، فكانوا عن الإشفاق عُميانا

    And the worried wretched father asks them

    For mercy, but they are blind to compassion

  10. والطفلُ يصرُخُ .. لكن لا مُجيبَ له

    إلا أزيز الردى .. ظلماً وطغيانا

    The child screams...but none responds except

    The whizzing of villainy, injustice and tyranny

  11. أبوه يُخفيهِ عنهم خلفهُ جَزعَاً

    عليه، يفديه أرواحًا وأبدانا

    His father hides him behind, anxious

    To protect him, ransoming him with souls and bodies

  12. يبدو الذُّهولُ على عينيه مرتسماً

    والذعرُ أعظمُ ما قاسى وما عانى

    Bewilderment shows in his eyes, the greatest

    Of terrors he has endured and suffered

  13. مات الصغيرُ .. كما ماتت كرامتنا

    وأرضنا .. وبقايا من بقايانا

    The little one died...and with him died our dignity

    And our land...and remnants of our remnants

  14. طفلٌ له مثلُ أطفالِ الورى حلُمٌ

    لوكان يُغرسُ أحيا الأرضَ بستانا

    A child who, like all the world's children, held a dream

    That would have brought the land to life, a flourishing garden

  15. ولوسقته ديار المسلمين .. نما

    بين القفار أزاهيراً وريحانا

    Had the Muslim world nurtured him...he would have grown

    Among barren sands into flowers and basil

  16. لله! ما أمَّلتْ أُمٌّ تشاطرُهُ

    في السعْدِ سَعْداً وفي الأحزانِ أحزانا

    God! No mother imagined sharing with him

    In joy, joy, and in sorrows, sorrows

  17. وكيفَ تلقاهُ محمولاً وسيلُ دمٍ

    يصب منه على الأثواب وديانا

    How will she receive him, carried in a torrent of blood

    Pouring over clothes in rivers?

  18. قد كان بالأمس ملءَ البيتِ يعمُرُهُ

    لولاهُ كان دهاليزاً وجُدرانا

    Yesterday, he filled the house, gave it life

    Without him, it is but hallways and walls

  19. في كلِّ شبرٍ له فيهِ إذا نظرتْ

    ذِكرى تؤجِّجُ في الأعماق بركانا

    In every inch, if you look, is a memory

    That ignites volcanoes in the depths

  20. قد كان بُستانها تأوي إليه إذا

    كلَّتْ فتلقاه أفنانا وغُدرانا

    He was her garden where she took refuge when

    She tired, finding him buds and blossoms

  21. واليوم تبكيه دمعاً ليسَ يعرفه

    من كان يحمل للإسلام نُكرانا

    Today she weeps for him with tears unknown

    To those who harbor enmity towards Islam

  22. ولايُحسُّ به غِرٌّ يُراودهُ

    حُلمُ السلام على أعتابِ من خانا

    Unfelt by an enemy nursing dreams

    Of peace on the doorsteps of the betrayer

  23. قومٌ لهم في سبيلِ الشرِّ سابقةٌ

    وكان تاريخُهُم غدراً وعُدوانا

    A people with a head start in the path of evil

    Whose history is treachery and aggression

  24. كم حَرَّفوا كتباً وقتلوا رُسُلاً

    وأفسدوا الأرض إسراراً وإعلانا

    How many books they distorted! How many messengers they killed!

    How much corruption they spread secretly and openly!

  25. تاريخُهُم عفنٌ، ما فيه من شَرَفٍ

    قاسى الأمرَّ بهم موسى بن عمرانا

    Their history reeks, possessing no honor

    Moses son of Imran suffered bitterness because of them

  26. قومٌ على عَتبِ التاريخِ تلفظهم

    أبوابه .. فغدوا في الكون غربانا

    A people spewed by the gates of history

    And so they roam the universe like crows

  27. لها نعيقٌ بإعلامٍ يضللنا

    يبث من خبثه جهراً خزايانا

    With a media misleading us, broadcasting

    Openly its wicked lies

  28. والغرقديون في أعقابهم زمر

    ينافحون زُرافاتٍ ووحدانا

    And in their footsteps flock groups

    Contending with unicorns and zebras

  29. يُهمِّشونَ قضايانا بزُخرُفةٍ

    عن السلام لننساها قضايانا

    Marginalizing our issues with nonsense

    About peace, to make us forget our issues

  30. هيهاتَ، من يعشق البيت الحرام يجدْ

    في قلبه للقاء القدس تحنانا

    Never! He who loves the Sacred House will find

    In his heart a longing for Jerusalem’s meeting

  31. هيهات، من يقرأ القرآن تُبدِ له

    حروفُهُ أنَّ في صهيون أضغانا

    Never! He who recites the Qur'an, its letters

    Reveal to him that there is hatred in Zion

  32. قد أخبر اللهُ عنهم أنهم بشَرٌ

    لا يرتضون سوى الكُفران أديانا

    God has told that they are people

    Who accept only unbelief as religion

  33. وأنهم حَسَداً من عندِ أنفُسِهِم

    ودَّوا لو ارتدَّ أهل الدين كفرانا

    That out of envy from their souls

    They wish those of faith would turn to blasphemy

  34. وأنهم ليس ترضيهم حقيقتنا

    ولو أحلنا تراب الأرض عقيانا

    That our truth does not satisfy them

    Even if we deemed the earth's soil lawful

  35. وأنهم جبناء الأرض ما ابتدروا

    للحرب إلا وكان الحربُ خسرانا

    That they are earth's cowards, never venturing

    To war except when defeat is certain

  36. ما ذلنا اليوم منهم بأسُ ألويةٍ

    لكننا قد أذلتنا خطايانا

    Today we are not weakened by their elite forces

    Rather, we are weakened by our own sins

  37. يا أمَّةَ الحقِ، آن الوعدُ، فانتفضي

    يكفيك من هدأة الفرسان ما كانا

    O nation of truth! The promise is at hand, so rise up!

    The calm of horsemen has lasted long enough

  38. آن الأوانُ، وحانت منكِ ملحمةٌ

    تعيدُ مسجدنا الأقصى ومسرانا

    The time has come, and your epic is imminent

    To restore our Aqsa Mosque and our minarets

  39. والوعدُ حقٌّ، ووعدُ الحق قد ظهرتْ

    آياتُهُ، فإلى الأقصى سرايانا

    The promise is true, and the promise of truth its signs have appeared

    So march on, to the Aqsa!

  40. قد أخبرَ اللهُ أنَّ النصرَ منعقدٌ

    وأنَّ جندَ بني صهيون أسرانا

    God has told that victory is destined

    And the soldiers of the Sons of Zion will be captives

  41. مُحمَّد بن جمالِ الدُّرةِ انسكبتْ

    لكَ المشاعرُ حرَّى من حنايانا

    Muhammad son of Jamal al-Durra, your feelings

    Have poured for you, hot from the cheeks

  42. وهبَّ ضوعُكَ من روضِ الجهاد فما

    زال القصيدُ يسحُّ الدمعَ هتانا

    Your light emanated from the garden of jihad, so the poem

    Still wipes away flowing tears

  43. وليس للشعرِ إن أنشدتُ من أَلَقٍ

    إن لم ينَمِّ أحاسيساً ووجدانا

    If I recite poetry without any flair

    It cannot stir emotions and passions

  44. إنْ أنجبتْ أُمَّةَ الإسلامِ خالدَها

    ففي البقيَّةِ أُسْدٌ تُصنعُ الآنا

    If the nation of Islam begets its Khalid

    The coming generations will forge lions
