This night has an eastern sun,
And at Ali’s, her countenance is radiant.
()
When red Marrakech grows proud
And vies in glory with the lofty heavens,
And if the day departs, you see stars
And moons, and a Hashemite sun.
She has captivated a heart that renounces beautiful women
And drowns in Moroccan eyes.
،
Sorrowful, it neither sleeps nor sings,
Nor finds solace; its affliction is intractable.
