أَخٌ وَأَبٌ وَاِبنٌ وَأُمٌّ شَقيقَةٌ
يُقَسِّمُ في الأَبرارِ ما هُوَ جامِعُه
A brother, a father, a son, and a mother of one’s own—
among the righteous he apportions all that he gathers in himself.
سَلَوتُ بِهِ عَن كُلِّ ما كانَ قَبلَهُ
وَأَذهَلَني عَن كُلِّ ما هُوَ تابِعُه
Through him I was consoled for all who had come before him,
and he made me forget all who would come after him.
