1. بَينَ الإِزارَينِ مِنَ المُحرِمِ

    بَدليهُ عَقلِ الرَجُلِ المُسلِمِ

    Between the two wraps of ihram

    Is the intellect of a Muslim man

  2. في قَدِّ غُصنِ البانِ لَكِنَّهُ

    مِن طَيِّباتِ الشَجَرِ المُطعَمِ

    Like a twig of aloe wood

    Of sweet-scented grafted trees

  3. مَرَّ إِلى الرُكنِ فَزاحَمتُهُ

    فَالتَمَسَ الرُكنَ وَلَم يَلثِمِ

    He passed by the corner so I pushed him

    He held onto the corner without kissing

  4. وَفاتَ بِالسَبقِ إِلى زَمزَمٍ

    وَكانَت اللَذاتُ في زَمزَمِ

    He missed reaching Zamzam first

    Though its water was most delicious

  5. شَرِبتُ فَضلَ الماءِ مِن بَعدِهِ

    فَلَستُ أَنسى طَعمَهُ في الفَمِ

    I drank the water left after him

    Its taste in my mouth I'll never forget
