1. عج بِالعَقيقِ وَقف بذات الاجرَع

    وَأَنخ مطيك بِالعَذيب وَلَعلَع

    He urged his camel on at Al-Aqeeq and stopped at Thul-Ajraa

    I rode my horse quickly through Al-Adheeb as it trotted lively

  2. وَاِنزل منى فهناك قَد بَلَغَ المُنى

    قَوم وَفازوا بِالمَقام الاِرفَع

    And I descended for I had reached the hoped for destination

    A folk who won the most splendid abode

  3. وَتَمَلّ بِالبَيتِ الحَرام وَمل اِلى

    وادي الخزام وَنَشرِه المُتَضَوّع

    And he circled around the Sacred House and turned toward

    The valley of Al-Khuzam, verdant and fresh

  4. ثُم اِنعَطَف نَحو الابيرَق وَالنَقا

    وَدع التَواني في السَرى وَتشجع

    Then he turned toward Al-Abraq and An-Nqaa

    And left behind the sand dunes in wild terrain and adventured on

  5. وَاِقصد أَخا الاشواق مُنعَطف اللَوى

    فَوق الغَوير وَتَحتَ بانَة يَنبع

    And I went straight to the brother of passions at Luwaa’s twist

    Above Al-Ghuweir downstream of Bana’s spring

  6. خث المطيّ أَخا الغَرام هنيهَة

    وَاِصبِر عَلى حرّ الوَطيس البَلقَع

    I whipped the horse, O brother of love, gently

    And patiently endured the blazing heat of the wilderness

  7. وَمر المطي يَطبن نَفسا بِالسرى

    وَيسرت بَين مردّد ومَرجِع

    And the horse passed by breathing deeply, pleased,

    And I felt comfortable between going and returning

  8. يا حادى الاِظعان خلّ زمامها

    ترد المِياه كَما تَشاء وَتَرتعى

    O guide of the caravan, leave the reins slack

    So the camels may drink as they wish and graze

  9. أَوّاه لو تَدري المَطايا قَدر ما

    ظَفَرت به من بَعد ذاكَ المَهيع

    Alas! If the horses but knew how much

    They gained after that difficult journey

  10. لسعت عَلى أَحداقِها وَثنت ذَوي

    أَعناقِها وَطوث حنايا الاضلُع

    They would have bitten their cheeks and bent their proud necks

    And crushed the ribs of their chests

  11. يا أَيُّها الخَلّ المَشوق ترفقا

    بك ان بَدا لَكَ نور ذاكَ المَوضِع

    O you who pine, ride gently when the light of that place appears to you

    And be steadfast when you meet, for how many a man

  12. وَتجلدا عِند اللُقا فكم اِمرىء

    من شَوقه لما رَآه لم يَعي

    Longing for what he saw did not survive

    And when you reach Taibah’s treaty grounds

  13. وَاِذا وَصل اِلى معاهد طيبة

    وَالناس بَين مُسلم وَمودّع

    And the people are between newcomers and those taking leave

    And the flags of those hills became visible

  14. وَتَظاهَرت أَعلام هاتيكَ الربا

    وَبَدا لعينك نور تِلكَ الاربَع

    And the light of the Four shone before your eyes

    Then enter the one with sublime glory and be

  15. فَاِدخُل الَّذي الجاه الرَفيع وَكُن عَلى

    حذر وَسل بِتَأَدّب وَتَضرّع

    Cautious, ask permission, pray and plead

    And make good use of your time there, happy,

  16. وَاِغنَم سويعات هُناك سَعيدَة

    ما بَينَ منبره وَذاكَ المَضجع

    Between his pulpit and that place where he would recline

    And turn toward his noble grave and call out:

  17. وَاِستَقبِل القَبر الشَريف وَناده

    يا من يُؤَمّل لِلكُروبِ اِذا دَعى

    O you who is hoped for when distress calls

    O you whose glory is great, who by it

  18. يا من له الجاه العَريض وَمن بِهِ

    يبر المَريض من السِقام وَالمفظع

    Heals the sick of illnesses and relieves agony

    This is the station of the frightened refugee,

  19. هذا مقام المُستَعيذ المُستَجي

    ر المُذنِب المُتَأَوّه المتوجع

    The anxious sinner, the agonized mourner

    The timid fearful one who wasted

  20. الخائِف الوَجل الَّذي قَد ضيع ال

    أَوقات في تَحصيل ما لَم يَنفَع

    Moments acquiring what did not avail

    And seek to complete what you desire and do not worry

  21. وَاِطلُب نِهايَة ما تَيد وَلا تَخف

    مَللا وَأَكثَر في المُنى وَتَوسع

    Of boredom, but increase your wishes and indulgences

    And recall there your yearning and eagerness,

  22. وَاِذكُر هُناكَ تَشَوّقي وَتَشَوّفي

    وَتَلَهف وَتَولعي وَتوجعي

    And craving, and burning agony

    And ask the people of Life about my heart for since

  23. وَاِسئَل اَهيل الحَيّ عَن قَلبي فَمُذ

    فارَقت طيبَة لَم أَجِد قَلبي مَعي

    I left Taibah, I could not find my heart with me

    And make excuses for me for being late

  24. وَأَقم لي الاعذار في التَأخير عن

    هذا المَقام المُبهج المتضوع

    In coming to this cheering, delightful station

    Delight your eye for an hour, O brother of passions,

  25. نزه أَخا الاِشواق طرفك ساعَة

    فيما هنالِكَ وَاِبتَهِج وَتَمتع

    In what is there, and enjoy yourself and indulge

    For there hearts brim with joy,

  26. فَهُناكَ تَمتَلىء القُلوب مسرّة

    وَتَزول عَن ذي العَيّ شِدّة كل عي

    And the distressed find relief from all pain

    And prepare your conversation for Adheeb and Barqi

  27. وَأَعد حَديثك لِلعَذيب وَبارِق

    وَاِبكَ الدِيار وَأَجر سحب الادمُع

    And weep for the abodes and shed tears

    Those abodes, where can the like of them be found

  28. تِلكَ الدِيار فَأَينَ يوجد مِثلُها

    طيباً وَأَيّ علالها لَم يَرجِع

    As good, and which of their plants will not bloom?

    Where prophethood, messengership and guidance are present

  29. حَيثُ النُبُوّة وَالرِسالَة وَالهُدى

    وَلَوامِعَ الفَضلِ الاعز الامنَع

    And the noblest most splendid virtues shine

    The secret of existence, and the pole of the sphere of passion

  30. سِرّ الوُجودِ وَقطب دائِرَة الشَهو

    دو ذو اللوا المَعقود يَوم المفزع

    He of the twisted lock, on the day we shall stand in awe

    The best of all creation, and the most eminent

  31. أَزكى الوَرى وَأَجل من وطىء الثَرى

    قَدراً وَأَكرَم شافِع وَمُشفِع

    To have tread earth in rank and the most generous intercessor
