1. A station firmly established above the two Farqad stars;

    glory is its intimate, and perfection its companion.

  2. A towering palace—every kind of glory feels

    an ever-growing longing and yearning for its heights.

  3. It gleams before the eyes, radiant as the full moon,

    and in it the light of loftiness appears and shines clear.

  4. Its vista shines proudly, its form richly adorned,

    and every perfection lies pledged within its sublimity.

  5. Its countenance is like a heaven of beauties,

    where the full moon shines forth and the stars adorn it.

  6. It is nothing but a meadow of serenity, a delightful retreat

    that helps drive the heart’s sorrows away.

  7. Gardens bloom, while glory within their courts

    abides, and proof of joy lies hidden there.

  8. Every building, when measured against its beauty,

    is the left hand; this, by comparison, the right.

  9. Across its courts the bird of joy sings,

    and how blessed a house in which no one is sad!

  10. He built it in praise of God, with gratitude and contentment—

    a prince, faithful guardian of God’s secret;

  11. a personage unassailable, a humble lord,

    whose are weighty affairs in the arenas of felicity.

  12. Through it he attained honor, pride, and lordly eminence,

    and glory before which stubborn iron yields.

  13. Gentle with petitioners, easy of access,

    yet he is a fortress mighty and impregnable.

  14. Within it the tongue of circumstance cries out, giving its date:

    “Through this edifice, Husayn attained munificence.”

  15. May he never cease to rise at sovereignty’s zenith,

    and may every hardship within his sanctuary grow light.
