The east breeze bent those slender-waisted boughs.
Those branches the morning breeze has gently swayed
And the garden offered us gifts of its fragrance.
And the garden has gifted us from its blossoms a present
And the doves [uncertain reading] lamented on their boughs in rapture.
The clouds have sadly cried over its vines out of yearning
And voiced varied sorrow within the garden.
And shown in the garden a different kind of grief
This nightingale flutters at the top of the bough,
This warbling on the highest branch all shaken
As though it were a hamza embracing an alif.
As if it were a hamza joined to an alif
And this melody of the strings sings to us:
And here is the melody of strings singing to us
The water of youth grew limpid when it flowed and cleared.
The water of youth has flowed describing it beautifully
And the wind plays with the tender bough; whenever
And the wind plays with the moist branch whenever
It draws a tip away from her, she draws a tip toward it.
It extends to it an edge, it draws near to it an edge
And the clouds weep while the garden's mouth smiles.
And the clouds weep while the garden's lips are smiling
And the chrysanthemum has become cloaked in dew.
And the nightingale has been cloaked at dawn with pearls
And the cloud scatters pearls over an expanse
And the cloud strews gems above outstretched
Of chrysolite, whose shape resembles sheets of paper.
Of emerald, its shape tells stories
And the sky's edges have clapped for joy,
And the air has clapped its edges out of joy
When an army of its rain arrived in masses.
When an army of rain came covered in it
And time bestowed what it had once withheld,
And time has been generous with what it was stingy of
When it saw this lord's light unveiled.
When it saw the light of this lord unveiled

This is glory itself—speak of its landmarks,
This is honour, speak of its features
And through him tell of forebears, if you wish, or successors.
And mention with it ancestors if you wish or successors

And tell of a presence that is all generosity,
And speak of the essence of all generosity
And a manifestation of high virtues, with nothing hidden within it.
And appearance with glories, in it no hiddenness
And how could praise ever reach his full measure?
And what can praise reach its ultimate?
And his Lord suffices him at every moment—and that is enough.
Sufficient for it is, every time, its Lord and enough
