Whenever faced by galloping horses
Parting from them means anguish and death
Yet I feel no disdain in meeting my Lord
Nor joy in my heart should I survive
I fight when I’m recognized amidst my people
And feel ashamed before the noble if fled
I’m patient with matters that have pained me
And paralyzed if one fifth’s gone of me
I don’t reproach the son of my uncle
And paralyzed if one fifth’s gone of me
I don’t indulge my relatives’ hatred
Unaware of them when they turn away
That’s how I was raised among my people, small
And they raised me thus when I was raised
