سلاماً ولا تنحل غمار شعبعبا
Hark, locust of the Ghawr—will you carry from me
a greeting? May Ghimār’s two ravines never grow bare—
دفئ المحاني بالشتاء وإن تصف
ترى فيه روضاً مستكفا قد أعشبا
warm shelter in the winding hollows in winter. And if you summer there,
you will see a meadow ringed all around; both ravines have already put forth grass.
