    مفرقة الأهواء شتى شعوبها

  2. ويوماً بحصن الباهلي ظللته

    أكفكف عبرات تفيض غروبها

    One day in Bahluli's fortress I stayed in its shade,

    Wiping tears that overflowed in their setting.

  3. ويوماً على تبراك أيقنت بالذي

    تحاذره نفس فشب شبوبها

    One day at Mount Tabarak I was sure of what

    The self fears, so its youth flared up.

  4. ويوماً بقاع الأخربين جرى لنا

    بنحسٍ ظباء الأخربين وذيبها

    One day in the ruins of Al-Akhbaryn, we were struck

    By bad luck - the hyenas and wolves of Al-Akhbaryn.

  5. ويوماً على ماء الهدية قالي لي

    صحابي طب نفساً وكيف أطيبها

    One day at Al-Hudayyah water, my companion said to me

    "Comfort yourself - how can I comfort it?"

  6. ويوماً بمطلوب وجدت حرارة

    طويلاً بالعواذ الفؤاد نشوبها

    One day at Muttalib I found lingering

  7. ويوماً على ماء المحلق طيره

    أحدث نفساً صبة ما يكيبها

    One day his birds at Al-Muhallaq water

    Disturbed a self - what misfortune befell it!

  8. ويوماً بقرنٍ قرن نخلة راجعت

    بنفسك زفرات بنجدٍ طبيبها

    One day by a date palm trunk returning

    With your spirit the sighs of Najd's healer.

  9. ويوماً لدى البيت الحرام تجددت

    لك النفس إكراهاً على ما يريبها

    One day near the Sacred House, your soul renewed

    For you distress - over what corrupts it.

  10. فيا أهل نجدٍ لاشقيتم ولُقِيّت

    ركابكم رشداً وحلت ذنوبها

    O people of Najd, you were miserable and your mounts

    Were rightly guided, their sins expired.

  11. إذا ما أتيتم أهل نجدٍ وعريت

    قلائص أدتكم وقد طال دوبها

    When you came to the people of Najd and bared

    The swords that extended their bending.

  12. فمنى عليهم فاقرؤن تحية

    يخص بها شبان قومي وشيبها

    Give them my regards, let them recite a greeting

    Special for my people's youth and elders.

  13. تحيةً مشتاق إلى أن يراهم

    ورجع أماثيل يفدى عريبها

    The greeting of one yearning to see them

    And ransom my people's honor with his soul.
