ألا تسألان اللَه أن يسقيَ الحمى

بلى فسقى اللَه الحمى والمطاليا

Do you not ask God to water the fevered land?

Yes, so God has watered the fevered land and the high places.

وأسأل من لاقيت هل مُطِر الحمى

فهل يسألن عني الحمى كيف حاليا

And I ask whoever I meet - has the fevered land been rained upon?

So do they ask about me - how am I doing now?
