وقهوةٍ فى فم الإبريق صافيةٍ

كدمعِ منجوعةٍ بالإِلفِ مَعبَارِ

Coffee pure in the pot's mouth

Like tears shed in longing for a companion

كأنّ إبريقنا والراحُ في فمه

طيرٌ تناول ياقوتا بمنقارِ

As though our pot, air rushing through its spout

A bird that took a ruby in its beak
