We have found tears more healing than cautery

And madness closer than sane counsel

He who gave Abu Amir sovereignty

    Religion and victory over persecution

Never did mine eyes see before his time

A sun rising in the horizon like a lion

He grasps the world in his mind’s hands

As you grasped thousands in the bracelet of number

He asks the suppliant to ask of him

But when he obliges him, he is ungrateful
