لقد عزتْ منازُلنا
علينا من ينازلُنا
Our homes have become dearer to us
Than those who visit us
منارُ عزيزنا عال
له خضعتْ عواذلنا
The lamp of our beloved shone high
Our slaves submitted to him
ألا ياع مصرُ قد وافَى
عزيزُك والهنا صافَى
Oh Egypt! Your mighty one has come
Your beloved and our God has purified
حبانا منه إنصافا
وعدلا من يعادلنا
He has granted us justice
And treated us with equity
ألا يا مصرُ فابتهجي
بحكم عزيزك البهجِ
Oh Egypt! Rejoice
In the rule of your mighty beloved
به تَرقَىْ ذُرَى الدرجِ
وبالحسنى يعاملنا
Through it values ascend
And we are treated kindly
فهذا مثلُ والده
رشيدٌ في مقاصده
He is like his father
Wise in his purposes
بطارفِه وتالدِه
تعود لنا فضائلنا
With his intelligence and births
Our virtues return to us
ممالك مصر معمورة
وبالخيرات مغمورة
Egypt’s realms prosperous
And flooded with bounties
ممالكُ مصرَ مشهوره
بها التاريخُ واصلنا
Egypt's realms famous
Through it our history originated
شدَتْ بعجائب الزمنِ
بدتْ بغرائب المدنِ
It has astounded with wonders of time
Appearing with marvels of cities
وَفتْ بمناقبِ الوطن
معالمنا تدوالنا
And excelling in merits of the nation
Our landmarks circulate through us
فمَن للمجد أن يشهدْ
نجازَ مقاصدٍ تُحمد
So who can witness glory
And accomplish praised purposes
بهمة نجله الأوحد
بها راقتْ مناهلنا
With the enthusiasm of his only son
Through it our springs have flourished
فوادي النيل بالطبعِ
غدا متمكنَ الوضعِ
The Nile valley by nature
Has a stable situation
وقطبُ دوائر النفعِ
ومركزها أساكلنا
And is the axis of circles of utility
And their center is our bases
ولما مستْ الحاجه
كسوْنا نيلها تاجه
And when need touched
We crowned its Nile with its crown
فهل صورٌ وقرطاجه
عن العليا تُسائلنا
Are there images and Carthage
Questioning us about the Most High
لفتح الترعةِ الكبرى
بغرب النيل في مصرا
To open the great canal
In western Egypt
تجددُ للغنَى عصراً
به تسمو منازلنا
Renewing an age of prosperity
Through it our homes are sublime
غروسُ صعيدنا تسمو
صنوفُ نباته تنمو
The plants of our southern region grow high
Its varieties of vegetation grow
وحان لمجده يومُ
تمنّاه أوائِلُنا
And the day we wished for has come
That our predecessors desired
مدارسُ مصر قد عادتْ
وعدةُ أهلها ازدادتْ
Egypt’s schools have returned
And its people's preparedness has increased
وفي الآفاقِ قد سادتْ
بجدٍ من يهازلنا
And they have dominated the horizons
With the seriousness of our jesters
لنا في سابقٍ المجد
سباقٌ باءَ بالرشدِ
We have glory in preceding
A race that resulted in integrity
وكم في حوزة الحدِّ
سعاداتٌ تُقابلنا
And how much within grasp
Of possibilities meets us
ننظمُ جندَنا نظما
عجيباً يُعجز الفهما
We organize our army in a
Wondrous way that amazes minds
بأسدٍ تُرعب الخِصْما
فمن يَقوى يناضلنا
With a lion that terrifies the opponent
So who can withstand confronting us
رجالٌ ما لها عَددُ
كمالُ نظامها العُدَدُ
Men that have no number
The perfection of its system is the number
حلاها الدرعُ والزردُ
سنانُ الرمح عَاملنا
Adorned with shields and armor
The spearpoint works with us
وهل لخيولنا شبهُ
كرائمُ ما بها شُبَهُ
And is there any likeness to our horses
The valued ones that have no similar
إليها الكل منتبهُ
وهل تَخفى أصائِلنا
All are attentive to them
Can our thoroughbreds be hidden
لنا في الجيش فرسانُ
لهم عند اللِّقا شانُ
We have horsemen in our army
They have status when confronting
وفي الهيجاءِ عنوانُ
تهيمُ به صَواهِلنا
And distinction in assaults
Our young women swoon over them
فها الميدانُ والشُّقرا
سقتْ أُذن العِدا وقْرا
Deafening the ear of enemies
As if we unleash falcons
كأنا نرسلُ الصقرا
فمنْ يبغي يراسلنا
So who wishes to correspond with us
Our cannons pass judgement in them
مدافعُنا القضا فيها
وحكمُ الحتْف في فِيها
And the rule of doom is in their mouths
And their least effort
وأهونُها وجافيها
تجودُ به معاملنا
Bestows generously upon us
We have heroic chiefs
لنا الرؤساءُ أبطالُ
رجالٌ أينما جالوا
Men who wherever they went
With the violence of a sign
بصولة عيلمٍ صالوا
يفوقُ الحدَّ صائلنا
Our aspirations exceed limits
We have fortification in the cities
لنا في المدنِ تحصينُ
وتنظيمٌ وتحسينُ
And organization and improvement
And support and enablement
وتأييدٌ وتمكينُ
منيعاتٌ معاقلنا
Impregnable fortresses
A time has come favoring us
زمانٌ بالهنا أقبلْ
وماضي العزمِ مستقبلْ
And the resolve of past is future
A beloved attained what he wished
عزيزٌ نال ما أمّلْ
به نطقتْ دلائِلنا
Through it our evidence spoke
And the horizon of glory ascends
ويرقى صَهوة المجدِ
ويصعد مدرجَ السعْد
And the staircase of bliss elevates
With endless welcome
بإقبالٍ بلا حدِّ
به تشدو بلابلنا
Through it our nightingales sing
He treats war with peace
يُداوي الحربَ بالسلم
ويُعطى الطبَّ للكلم
And words are given remedy
And breasts healed with patience
ويشفى الصدرَ بالحِلْمِ
بهذا عمَّ طائِلنا
Through this our plight has encompassed
