بأكيدِ العهد وبالأيمانْ

With the determination of covenant and oath
أن نبذلَ صِدْقاً للأوطانْ
وبيمْن سعيدٍ نحن نصانْ
That we spend sincerely for the homelands
And with good augury we get protection
والفضل يجل عن النكران
للحربِ هلمُّوا يا شجعان
And excellence is too evident for denial

حبُّ الأوطان من الإيمانْ
هيا اجتهدوا هيا اجتهدوا
Love of homelands is of faith
Come strive, come strive
والحر ينجزُ ما يَعِد
وجميعُ الناسِ لكم شهدُوا
And the freeman fulfills what he promises
And all people witnessed for you
بشجاعتكم عند الميدان
للحرب هلموا يا شجعان
With your courage at the battlefield
To war, come O valiant!
حبُّ الأوطان من الإيمان
هيا اتحدوا هيا اتحدوا

Come unite, come unite
للملَّةِ سيفُكم عضدُ
وبيُمن سَعيدٍ نحنُ نُصان
For the nation, your sword is a supporter
And with good augury we get protection

فلكم قِدمٌ ولكم قَدمُ
في الفضل وضدكم عدمُ
For you is precedence and for you is advance
In merit, while against you is absence
ومعالمكم لا تنهدم
بالتقوى تأسيسُ البنيان
And your landmarks do not crumble
With piety is the building established
لحرب هلمُّوا يا شجعان
حب الأوطان من الإيمان

Love of homelands is of faith
أنتم كُرما أنتم نُبلا
تحمُون الجيرةَ والنُّزُلا
You are generous, you are noble
Protecting the neighbor and the lodging
ولكم شرفٌ في الكونِ علا
قدْراً لا يمحوه الملوان
And you have prominent honor in the universe
A rank time does not erase

حبُّ الأوطان من الإيمان

فنزالِ نزالِ على الأعْدا
لا ترعوْا في الأعْدا عَهدا
So attack, attack the enemies
Do not observe any covenant with the enemies
فالوقتُ أتاح لكم سعدا
وأذاقهم طعمَ الخسران
For time has afforded you prosperity
And made them taste the flavor of loss

هيا انتظموا وارْقوْا أوْجا
هيا اقتحمُوا فوجاً فوْجا
Come, organize and surge, battalion after battalion
Come breach, wave after wave
هيا التحموا عند الهيجا
هيّا هيا سُونكِي دوران
Come unite during the turmoil
Come, come swirling your spears!

لا تعطوا الأعْدا مِقْوَدكم
لا ترضوْا أن تستبعدكم
Do not let the enemies take your reins
Do not accept to be distanced
واللهُ تعالى أسعدكم
بقتالٍ وهزم ذوي الطغيان
And Allah has made you prosperous
With fighting and defeating the tyrants

حبُّ الأوطان من الإيمان

بصوارمكم وعواليكم
ومفاخركم ومعاليكم
With your swords and with your heights
And your glories and your sublimities
وبيُمن سعيد نحن نصان
خوضوا بدما أهل العدوان
And with good augury we are protected
Wade with the blood of the aggressors

هولُ الأعداء طلائعكم
وبنادقكم ولوامعكم
The awe of the enemies are your vanguards
And your rifles and your shining ones
وعذابُ الهون مدافعكم
وصواعقكم رمُى الأهوان
And the torment of cannons are your supporters
And your lightnings, a hit for the weak

قصباتُ السبقِ بها فُزتم
وسهامُ المغنمِ قد حُزتم
The arrows of precedence, with it you have won
And the arrows of war booty, you have taken
وحظوظُ الشهرةِ أحرزتم
وبها امتزتم بين الأقران
And the fortunes of fame, you have achieved
And with it you have excelled amongst peers

قسماً بجميل شروعكم
في حفظِ وصون ربوعكم
I swear by the beauty of your determination
In keeping and protecting your lands
والنصرَ حليفُ دروعِكم
وبيمن سعيد نحن نصان
And victory is an ally of your shields

هيا اشتبكوا هيا اشتبكوا

And the enemy, how can it creep
Except with confronting the fires

وطولُ الحرب لها طربُ
وإليها الناجبُ ينجذب
And the length of war has an enjoyment
And the obligated is attracted to it
والضد لديهما مضطرب
وحشاه يصير بها ولهان
And the opponent in it is perturbed
And its commotion becomes confused and feeble

حب الأوطان من الإيمان

رؤساؤكم هم أُسْد شَرى
كل منهم للمجد شَرى
Your leaders, they are lions of war
Each of them is for glory, he bought it
بمزاياهم فاقوا البشرا
فهم الأمَرا وهم الأعيان
With their merits, they surpassed mankind
For they are the nobles and the notables

فبنو مصر طُراً نُجبا
ونجيب القوم الضيمَ أبى
So the Egyptians are a noble breed
And the noble people, harm refused
يُبدون لدى الهيجا العجبا
أتُرى بين الأنجاب جبان
They show wonder at the turmoil
Can cowardice be seen amongst the progeny?

في السوْم ثمنٌ غالِ
في تاريخ الزمن الخالي
In valor, a precious price
In history of the past time
ونظام الملك لهم عالِ
وله ذكرٌ بعد الطوفان
And the King's system is lofty for them
And it has mention after the deluge
للحرب هلموا يا شجعان
حبُّ الأوطان من الإيمان
To war, come O valiant!

وألوفُ قرونٍ بعدُ خلتْ
في حكم سواها ما دخلت
And thousands of past eras
In whose rule it did not engage
وبأسْر الغير لها بخلتْ
فمن الأبنا كان السلطان
And it was stingy for others to take it
So from its people came the Sultan

في ماضي الدهر قدْ بقيت
تختاً لملوكٍ قد وُقيتْ
In the past of time it remained
A throne for kings it protected
شَرَّة الأغراب وقد سُقيت
أكوابَ طِلاحبِّ العمران
The evil of strangers and it was quenched
The cups of life's vineyards

حب الأوطان من الإيمان

قد حازت منزلةً عُليا
وبذا دُعيتْ أمَّ الدنيا
It has attained a supernal status
And thus it was called mother of the world
وبصيتٍ الموتى والأحيا
فاقتْ مجداً كل البلدان
And in repute of the dead and alive
It surpassed in glory all the countries

في ذروتها العليا صعدت
مصر وعوادي الدهر عدت
At its highest peak ascended
Egypt, and the times of fate it counted
فاحتلت قهراً وابتعدت
دهراً عن ميزان الرجحان
So it dominated by conquest and parted
An era from the scale's weighting

حب الأوطان من الإيمان

وتولى إمرتها الغُرَبا
أعجاماً كانوا أو عَربا
And the Westerners took over its command
Be they foreigners or Arabs
والحالُ ينادي واحربا
والفرصةُ تدرك بالأزمان
And the state calls fight! Fight!
And the opportunity is attained in times

ربُّ الخيراتِ أراد لها
خيراً من ذلك بدّلها
The Lord of favors wanted for it
Better than this, He changed it

وبنوكِ الآن قد افتخروا

والأعداء عادوا بالخذلان
Won in battle and did not lose
And the enemies returned with disappointment
