    آية كل مؤمن

    In the most glorious of religions

    A sign for every believer

  4. يا صاح حبُّ الوطن

    حلية كل فطن

    O friend, love of the homeland

    Is an ornament for every wise one

  5. مساقطُ الرُءوسِ

    تَلَذُّ للنفوسِ

    The places where we were born and raised

    Are delightful to our souls

  6. تُذهبُ كل بُوسِ

    عنّا وكلَّ حرنَ

    They take away all sorrows

    From us and all grief

  7. ومصرُ ابهى مولدِ

    لنا وأزهى محتدِ

    And Egypt is the most splendid place

    Where we were born and raised

  8. ومربعٍ ومعهدِ

    للروح أو للبدنْ

    And the most glorious place

    For our spirits or bodies

  9. شُدتْ لها العزائمُ

    نِيطتْ بها التمائمُ

    Resolute vows were made for her

    Charms were tied to her

  10. لطبعنا تُلائمُ

    في السر أو في العَلنْ

    They suit our nature

    Secretly or openly

  11. مصرُ لها أيادِي

    عُليا على البلادِ

    Egypt has mighty hands

    High above other lands

  12. وفخرهُا يُنادي

    ما المجدُ إلا ديْدني

    And her pride proclaims

    Glory is my constant way

  13. الكونُ من مصرَ اقتبسْ

    نوراً وما عنه احتبسْ

    The universe drew from Egypt

    Light, and did not withhold any

  14. وما فخارها التبس

    إلا على وغدٍ دَنيِ

    Her pride was never obscured

    Except for a lowly future

  15. فخرٌ قديم يُؤْثَرُ

    عن سادةٍ ويُنْشَر

    Ancient pride is preferred

    Over nobles and is spread

  16. زهورُ مجد تنثر

    منها العقول تَجْتنِي

    Flowers of glory scattered

    From which minds are harvested

  17. دارُ نعيم زاهيَهْ

    ومعدان الرفاهيَهْ

    A land of beautiful bliss

    And the best well-being

  18. آمرةٌ وناهيهْ

    قِدماً لكل المدنْ

    Commanding and forbidding

    Always for all cities

  19. تحنو على القريبِ

    تحلو لدى الغريبِ

    She is affectionate to a relative

    And sweet to a stranger

  20. ترنو إلى الرقيبِ

    شرراً بسهم الأعينْ

    She aspires to curb

    Any hostilities from eyes

  21. طُول المدا وَلودُ

    وللهُدى ودودُ

    She is enduring and loving

    And friendly to guidance

  22. ما أمَّها جَحودُ

    إلا انثنى بالوهنْ

    Never ungrateful

    Except when weakened

  23. قوةُ مصرَ القاهره

    على سِواها ظاهره

    Egypt's strength is supreme

    Over all others, manifest

  24. وبالعمارِ زاهِره

    خُصّتْ بذكرٍ حَسنْ

    And flourishing in building

    Singled out for good mention

  25. منازلٌ رَحيبه

    وبالمنى خَصِيبه

    Spacious dwellings

    Filled with wishes

  26. وللهَنا مُجيبه

    وهي أعزُّ موطن

    Responsive to our prayers

    And it is the dearest homeland

  27. علومها حقائقُ

    فهومها رقائقُ

    Its knowledge is truths

    Its insights are subtleties

  28. رموزها دقائق

    تحلو لأهل الفِطن

    Its symbols are intricacies

    Sweet to the wise

  29. أما ترى الأهالي

    ترقَى ذُرى المعالي

    See how the locals

    Rise to the heights of glory

  30. هم سادةٌ موالي

    جمال وجه الزمن

    They are loyal nobles

    The beauty of the age

  31. أبناؤها رجالُ

    لم يثنهم مجالُ

    Her sons are men

    Whom no arena fazed

  32. ولا بهم أوجال

    في ليل وقعٍ دَجُن

    Nor did any gloom faze them

    In darkest fallen nights

  33. وذوقهم مطبوعُ

    وقدرهم مرفوعُ

    Their taste is innate

    Their worth is exalted

  34. وصيتهم مسموع

    بشرف التمدن

    Their reputation is heard

    With the nobility of civilization

  35. وجندهم صنديدُ

    وقلبه حديدُ

    And her soldiers are staunch

    With hearts of iron

  36. وخصمه طريد

    بل مُدرجٌ في كفن

    Vanquishing their foes

    Rather, shrouding them in their winding sheets

  37. كل فتىً جليلْ

    يعشق وادي النيلْ

    Every noble youth

    Who loves the Nile valley

  38. كم فيه من نزيلْ

    يقول مصر وطني

    How many dwell in it

    Saying Egypt is my homeland

  39. فإن تَرُمْ إسعادا

    يا سعدُ دعْ سعادا

    So if you seek prosperity

    O Saad, leave Saada

  40. ولذْ بمنْ أعادا

    لمصرَ فخرها السَّني

    And enjoy who restored

    Egypt's ancient pride

  41. صادقُ وعدٍ محسنُ

    وذكرُهُ يُسحتسنُ

    True to his good promise

    His mention is beautiful

  42. ولا تزال الألسنُ

    تشدو بذكرِ المحسن

    And tongues will never cease

    Praising the benefactor

  43. ربُّ عُلاً وحسبِ

    عن جده وعن أبِ

    Lord of highness and lineage

    From his grandfather and father

  44. فقلْ لمصر انتسبي

    إلى جريلِ المننْ

    Tell Egypt to attribute herself

    To the bountiful donor

  45. أدامُه ربُّ العلا

    أميرَ عِزٍ وولا

    May God sustain

    The Prince of might and rule

  46. بجاه طه مَن علا

    بالعدلِ جورَ الفتنْ

    By the status of the exalted Taha

    With justice overcoming strife
