جميعُ الأرض فيها طيبُ عيشٍ

ولذاتٍ وروضاتٍ أنيقه

All the earth has in it a goodly life,

With pleasures and gardens elegant,

وهذا كله في غيرِ مصر

مجازيَ وفي مصرَ حقيقه

And all this in lands other than Egypt

Is fancied, while in Egypt ‘tis verity.
