So praise be to the Grantor of His bounty

هبةٌ منَّ الوهّابُ بها

فالحمدُ لوهَّاب المنن

للموطن كلٌ ينتسبُ

ومعاهدُه أمٌ وأبُ

Everyone attributes himself to the homeland

And its covenants are a mother and father

فصحيحُ العزِّ له سبب

يستملكُ صباً ذا شَجنْ

The truth of honor has a cause for it

That captivates the youth of high ambition

After the Master is the love of the homeland

لما وجدوه دارَ حمَى

وصلوه وما قطعوا رَحِما

When they found it a protected abode

They connected with it and did not sever ties

تخذوه لمأمنهم حَرَما

يُفدى بالروح وبالبدن

They took it as a sanctuary for themselves

To be ransomed with the soul and the body

يدُها عُليا في كل زمنْ

In the world Egypt is the greatest homeland

Its hand is high in every era

فلكَم قهرتْ شاماً ويمنْ

فانقادَ الشامي واليمنى

So how much it conquered Syria and Yemen

Thus the Syrian and the Yemeni surrendered

And now its state has risen high

With Ismail its power increased

لو جالت عَظُمَتْ جولَها

من أرضِ الروم إلى عدنْ

If its greatness made its rounds

From the land of Rum to Aden

For Egyptians the time is clear

If their homeland gained honor

كلٌ بالمجد قد اعترفا

لعزيزِ العصر المؤتمن

All have acknowledged the glory

Of the honored leader entrusted

With contentment in our souls we empower it

مالُ المضريِّ كذا دمهُ

مَبذولٌ في شرفِا الوطن

The wealth of the harmful and his blood

Are offered in honoring the homeland

The eye ransoms it with its sight

And the soul with the best of its treasures

تُهدى في نيْلٍ مظاهرها

لشِرا العليا أغْلَى ثمن

It is gifted in its banks

To the most precious purchase price

فرعيته الغُرَّا سعِدتْ

إذ عنها الآصارُ ابتعدت

Its branches have prospered

When aggressors distanced from it

ومفاصِل من عادى ارتعدت

للصادقِ صفوُ العيشِ هنى

And the joints of those hostile shuddered

For the sincere, the finest living rejoiced

قَرِّي عيناً ثم ابتهجي

يا مصرُ بمولاكِ البَهج

So rejoice my eyes and delight

Oh Egypt through your Master's bliss

ملكٌ في عشقِ المجد شجى

والمجدُ طراز للحَسن

A King passionate for glory

And glory is the motif of beauty

For glory has extended its hand to him

And chose success as a pillar

من جدَّ ورامَ عُلاً وجدا
