أليَّةً بالمَشعر الحرامِ
والحجر الأسودِ والمَقامِ
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sacred shrine, the Black Stone and the Station
وزمزم والُّركنِ والمقامِ
والصلواتِ الخمسِ والصيامِ
By Zamzam, the Corner and the Maqam
By the five daily prayers and the fast
وما أتى في سورة الأنعام
من حكمة تُتلى ومن أحكامِ
By the wisdom and rulings mentioned in Surat Al-An'am
I will strike down the arrogant lawyer
لأضربنَّ البطلَ المحامي
في حَوْمة الهيجاءِ بالحُسامِ
In the battle with my sharp sword
I will feed the brave warrior meat
وأطعمُ الطّارق في الظَّلامِ
لحمَ صفَايا عُقَّر الأنعامِ
Of the slain enemies in the darkness
I will honor the guests with food
وأوثرُ الأضيافَ بالطعامِ
وملحفي والفُرش والخيامِ
And carpets and tents
I am the son of the honorable chiefs
أنا ابن سادات الوَرى الكرام
الضَّاربُ الهاماتِ في القَتامِ
Who strikes heads in the battle
Who is generous like the pouring rain
والشَّاجري في الجودِ بالغَمامِ
ماءَ الفُرات ذي العُباب الطَّامي
The water of the Euphrates with its overflowing waves
Brought by the pouring rain
يمدُّه الغيثُ الهَتونُ الهامي
بكلّ واد فربد لهام
To every valley and plain
Whose help is exalted above flags
آذيه يعلو على الاعلام
يحكي ندى أيديهمُ الجِسامِ
Speaking of their mighty hands in battle
Of every clear and proud forehead
من كل وضَاّحِ الجبينِ سامِ
مُنتَجَبٍ من إرم بن سام
A chosen descendent of Iram ibn Sam
Who hunted the frightened prey
أصْيَدَ مرهوب الشَّذا همام
شهم الجَنانِ باسلٍ قمقامِ
The brave lion of the gardens in war
Famous for his courage and valor
غضَنفر النجدةِ والإقدامِ
إذ يُرعدُ الأقدامَ بالإقدامِ
When feet thunder in the attack
From the family of Nabhan, the generous
من آل نَبهانَ أبي الكرامِ
مَولى الورى وسيّدِ الأنامِ
Master of all people
I am the king of Arabs and non-Arabs
أنا مليكُ العُرب والأعجامِ
وباذخُ الرُّتبة والمقَامِ
Of high rank and station
O Lord of an army of heroes
يا رُبَّ جيشٍ لَجبٍ لُهامٍ
يغرق منه زاخرُ الَّلهامِ
In which the brave drown
I launched my attack against them
فللْتُ غربيه بإقتحامِ
عليه جَهراً والوطيسُ حام
Openly while the war raged
With a deadly piercing arrow
وُمحجرٍ معذَّرٍ هَضَّام
شهم الجَنان باسلٍ هجَّامِ
The brave lion who fiercely attacks
Charging the hopeless cowards
على الكُماة هجمة الضّرِغام
على بوادي همَّل السَّوام
In the valleys roamed by wolves
A morning cup of wine
سَبَّاءِ صرف قهوةٍ مُدام
مُطَّرحٍ في الجودِ للمَلامِ
Generous, not blaming the critic
I left him in the heat of battle
غادرتُه في حومة الَّزحام
زادَ ضباع البيدِ والمَوامي
Adding to the prey of wolves and vultures
With a deadly arrow
بمرهفٍ مُصَمّم هدَّامِ
يرُسبُ في الهاماتِ والعظامِ
That penetrates the head and bones
And an attacker who takes the livestock in the dark
وطارقٍ يعتسفُ المَوامي
يستنبحُ الأكلبَ في الظلامِ
And barks at the dogs in the night
I approached him with a smile
قمتُ لكي ألقاه بابتسامِ
مبادراً بالرحبِ والإكرامِ
Welcoming him generously
How many youths have I granted
وكم وهبتُ الدَّهرَ من غلامِ
وغادةٍ كالبدرِ في التمامِ
Like the full moon in its perfection
Swaying over the stud horse with the halter
تميدُ فوقَ الفحلِ ذي السَّنامِ
محفوفةٍ بالزّوْجِ والقِرامِ
Surrounded by spouses and children
And a tall horse of lofty pedigree
وسابحٍ عالي السّراة سامي
يمزعُ في الجلالِ واللجامِ
Pacing proudly with dignity
And gifts I send with servants
وعَسْجَدٍ ضيمَ ذوي خَتَامِ
تحمله الأعبُدُ في الآكام
To every poor person
That does not cease flowing
لكل ذي فقرٍ في الأنام
لا يَرجعُ الرّيقَ من الأٌوامِ
Say to the sword of high ambition
Lord of havoc and reddening clouds
قولا لصِنوي ذي العُلى حُسام
ربّ الوغى ومخجل الغمامِ
And the brave hero in the clash
O son of noble kings
والبطل الَّدعِّيس في الصّدام
يا ابنَ الملوك السَّادةِ العظامِ
Today I spare you from blame
For your dreams have made me a fool
أجلَّكَ اليومَ عن المَلام
مهلاً لقد سفَّهت لي أحلامي
And your words have stirred my heart
May God guide you from ambition
أوغرتَ قلبي منك بالكلامِ
ووقعُه في القلبِ كالكِلامِ
You have provoked the adversaries
This is not how, O best of the noble
فِقفْ هَداكَ اللهُ من هُمام
لقد أطَبْتَ أنفسَ الخصامِ
The keeper of covenants should be rewarded
You are the essence of the wise and brave
ما هكذا يا أفخرَ الكرامِ
جزاءُ ِصْنوٍ حافظِ الذِّمامِ
The source of kindness and blessings
You have been my pillar throughout my days
وأنتَ عينُ الحاذقِ الهُمامِ
ومنبعُ المعروف والأنعام
And time has not worn you down
You have attained honor instead of blame
لا زلتَ لي ظَهراً مدى الأيام
ولا دهاك الدَّهرُ بالحمامِ
Do not obey hatred in disparaging me
For you are a lion, not a mere fox
فقد لقيتَ العزَّ عن مَلامي
ولا تُطع البُغضِ في اخترامي
And a predecessor never defeated in darkness
My best wishes of peace upon you
فأنتَ عضبٌ ليس بالكَهامِ
وسابقٌ لم يكبُ في قتَامِ
And may the Prophet receive the finest greetings
مني عليكَ أفضلَ السلامِ
ونبي اللهِ أولى بالسلامِ
