جَهيرُ العُطاسِ شَديدُ النيَأطِ

جَهيرُ الرُّوَاءِ جَهيرُ النَّغَم

Loud of snort, with heart-cords strong and tight,

Loud of presence, loud of resounding tone,

ويَخطو على الأَينِ خَطوَ الظَّليمِ

ويَعلُو الرِّجَالَ بجسمٍ عَمَم

He strides through fatigue with the male ostrich's pace,

And towers over men with a full-statured frame.
