The noble chiefs of Hashim traced his descent
He grew it, the free man, from Hashim
The noble chiefs of Hashim brought him forth,
To the clearest, purest lineage,
To the clearest, most evident lineage,
To the clearest, most unmistakable lineage,
To a nabʿ tree whose branch is in the sky
To a source whose branches are in the sky
To a tree whose branch reaches into the heavens,
And whose planting-place is the navel of al-Abtah.
And whose roots are in the most fertile ground
And whose root is planted in the heart of Al-Abtah.
