Rejoice that your kingdom is on the rise,

Your glory overtakes the glow of dawn.

You who, when your allies are described,

Even foes admit to your virtues.

Talk of your generosity delights all ears,

    Your fame perfumes each assembly.

Kings submit to you out of conviction,

    Never submitting so to another.

You rule them by your munificence and might,

The sword masters, the very hands of kings.

When you review the army of your thoughts at night,

You make their gift as long as a wakeful man's nap.

When clothed in night’s veil and terrors, they march on,

Their stars the steely glint of stallions’ coats.

With Indian blades, when they close ranks,

You guide them, white banners fluttering.
