أَبى نَسَبُ العيدانِ أَن يَتَغَيَّرا

بَنو الصالِحينَ الصالِحونَ وَمَن يَكُن
لآِباءِ سوءٍ يَلقَهُم حَيثُ سَيَّرا
The righteous beget the righteous, and he who is

أَبوكَ هِنابٌ سارقُ الضَيفِ بُردَهُ
وَجَدِّيَ يا حَجَّاجُ فارِسُ شَمَّرا
