أدارَت ظهرَها للحُبِّ مَرَّهْ

فـ «طنَّشها» وحطَّمَ ألفَ جَرَّهْ

She turned her back on love once

So he "ignored her" and broke a thousand pots

وعادَت تَحمِلُ الأعْذارَ صِدْقًا

فكذَّبها، وصارَ الصِدْقُ ضُرَّهْ

And she came back bearing excuses sincerely
