1. هَجوتَ الكِرامَ، وسُقْتَ الكلامَ

    كَثيبًا مَهيلًا، فَهلْ يُحمَلُ؟

    You denounced the noble ones, and poured out speech

    In abundance confused, can it then be borne?

  2. وأنَّى لكفيَّ حَمْـلُ رمالٍ

    بِعشرٍ بهنَّ الهوى يثـقُـلُ

    And how can my palms bear a load of sands

    With ten, which love's longing makes heavy?

  3. وطبعُ الكِرامِ كصخرٍ مُقيم

    تمرُّ الرِّيـاحُ... ولا يَرحَـلُ

    And the nature of the noble is like enduring rock

    The winds pass...and it does not depart.
