Congratulations, radiant sir, on your newborn son

Congratulations and wholesome blessings, my master, upon your newborn,

Who will shine like a crescent moon, then a full bright star

Rejoice in a crescent that shall rise before us as a full moon,

May the Most Merciful protect him from all harm

The Most Merciful shall guard her from every misfortune,

And make him as splendid as the Prophet's daughter in worth

And grant her a station equal to the daughter of the Chosen One.
