صَحَّ الجِسمُ يا عَمرو

لَكَ التَمحيصُ وَالأَجرُ

Health regained, O Amr

Yours the scrutiny and reward

وَلِلَّهِ عَلَينا الحَم

دُ وَالمِنَّةُ وَالشُكرُ

And God's favor upon us always

Lauding, obliging, extolling

فَقَد كانَ شَكا شَوقاً

إِلَيكَ النَهيُ وَالأَمرُ

For longing consumed me indeed

To you go denials, go orders
