When the white camels bear us to Yahya ibn Khalid,
We shall grasp the cord of ease, and hardship will be cut off.
Our eyes aspire toward him, while between him and us
Are trackless deserts where travel destroys the she-camels.
If we thank him for the bounty with which he has enfolded us,
Then, as long as we live, gratitude to him is our duty.
