إِذا أُمُّ طِفلٍ راعَها جوعُ طِفلِها

دَعتهُ بِإِسمِ الفَضلِ فَاِعتَصَم الطِفلُ

When a mother whose child's hunger pains her

Called him by the name of Favor, so the child held firm

لِيَحيا بِكَ الإِسلامُ إِنَّكَ عِزُّهُ

وَإِنَّكَ مِن قَومٍ صَغيرُهُم كَهلُ

That through you Islam might live, for you are its glory

And you are of a people whose elder is but a youth
