وَقالوا الطالِقانُ يُجِنُّ كَنزاً

سَيَأتينا بِهِ الدَهرُ المُديلُ

The slanderers said that the noble one amasses wealth,

Time will bring it to us sooner or later.

فَأَقبَلَ مُكدِياً لَهُمُ بِيَحيى

وَكَنزُ الطالِقانِ لَهُ زَميلُ

Then he came to them with John,

And the noble one's treasure was his companion.
