Without hardship you opened God's lands

And their people knew of no strange events

The rest must be opened soon

And their Creator hastens their fate

How many buds you opened while still hidden

Bearing naught but white from their bloom

Like Solomon's son seizing his inherited realm

He whose reign was stunted leaves the lute's string

And if it was seized from him, Muhammad

With his Indian blade took it back by force

He called out against a king's retreating rule

Which returned to its former state after some time

Joshua returned the sun to its course

Its light undimmed, its time unchanged

While many others came with excellence at first

Can the two now be made equal?

So Ramadan gained the Night of Power

But only its last ten were confirmed as such
