حَديقَةُ ياسَمينٍ لا
تَهيمُ بِغَيرِها الحَدَقُ
A jasmine garden does not care
For any other, eyes that stare
إِذا جفنُ الغَمامِ بَكى
تَبَسَّمَ ثَغرُها اليَققُ
When dark clouds weep in sorrow’s guise
Her buds smile, tranquil, fair and wise
كَأَطرافِ الأَهلَّةِ سا
لَ في أَثنائِها الشَفَقُ
Like crescent moons in tranquil skies
At dusk, when daylight fades and dies
