أَتَلحَقُ بِالرَيبِ الرِفاقُ وَمالِكٌ

بِمَكَّةَ في سِجنٍ يُعَنّيهِ راقِبُه

My friends accompany the caravan though I

Remain imprisoned in Mecca, kept under the watchful eye of its sentry
